A Reader’s Retreat in the Rockies

Retreat FAQs

  • Not at all. In fact, many people attend events like this solo because they’re hoping to meet fellow readers and make new connections. The whole goal of my events is to bring readers together through thoughtfully curated experiences that make it easy to connect.

Remember, we’ve all been the new person before—and that’s often where the best conversations start.

  • If you have a preference for who is in your room, I recommend booking at the same time as your friend or reserving your spots under the same reservation so I know to place you together.

  • Yes, there will be an option to pay in installments!

  • Your reservation is final and non-refundable. However, reservations may be transferred to another guest if you are no longer able to attend.

If your plans change, I’m happy to work with you to help fill your spot, especially if there is a waitlist.

  • This is a retreat for those 21+. Most attendees of Book&Gather are between 21-45 years old.

  • Grandby, Colorado sits at 7,935 feet in elevation.

  • I’m glad you asked! You will be asked to provide your dietary preferences and restrictions when you reserve your spot. This will help inform the private chef of their menu, and will help me order the appropriate groceries. I will reach out to you individually for some assistance if needed to make sure you get the food you would need!

  • Due to occupancy restrictions, unfortunately we cannot split a bed reservation between two attendees.

  • Transportation to and from Granby will be revisited closer to the event date. It’s about a 2.5 hour drive from Denver, and I anticipate many will want to carpool!

  • You can reach me anytime via my contact page on the website or my email (bookandgatherco@gmail.com). I aim to respond quickly—usually within two business days.
