Join myself and Sierra from @unhingedbooktalk for a slumber party weekend fit for the Inner Circle. Set along the stunning shores of the Florida Panhandle, this three night retreat is designed for readers who want to connect with like-minded besties, dive deep into the latest ACOTAR 6 release, and unwind in one of Florida's most breathtaking beach destinations.

Our home base is a gorgeous beach house just 400 yards from the sand, complete with a heated pool, hot tub, fireplace, and sweeping views of the Gulf. Destin is renowned for its crystal-clear, turquoise waters and you'll have every opportunity to soak it all in.

Spots range from $1,895–$2,695. Twin, King, and Shared King accommodations available.

Want to make the most of your trip? An add-on is available at checkout to arrive a night early on Wednesday, Nov 11, stay a night later til Monday, Nov 16 — or both! Cost for guests range from $130-195 per night, depending on your booking.

Please Note: ACOTAR 6 (releasing October 27, 2026) is recommended reading before arrival — this weekend will be spoiler central!

    Thursday, Nov 12

    Arrival day! Check in any time after 2pm, settle in, enjoy poolside hangs, and kick off the weekend with a game night.

    Friday, Nov 13

    Breakfast at the house, followed by a Wonderwick Scents Class. Enjoy a free afternoon to relax and explore, then head into town for dinner. Cap the night off with an ACOTAR theorizing session with Sierra.

    Saturday, Nov 14

    Breakfast at the house, then off to Rosemary Beach and a local bookstore. Spend the afternoon at your leisure before gathering for a private chef dinner at the house, followed by a beachside bonfire with photography.

    Sunday, Nov 15

    Enjoy one last breakfast together, then pack up and check out by 11am. Guests will have the option to store their bags until their departure. Safe travels!

Hi, I'm Cassie! I’m the host and heart behind Book&Gather, a community dedicated to bringing readers together through curated bookish events at local businesses in Colorado and immersive retreats beyond.

Fiction has been my safe place since I was a kid. Novels offered comfort, a sense of belonging, and a space to simply be myself. And while reading is usually a solo activity, I've always believed it has the power to do something more—to build genuine community and connect people who share a deep love of stories.

Book&Gather was built by a reader, for readers. I am so passionate about creating spaces for people to feel welcome, safe, and excited to embrace their inner nerd. Books are meant to be enjoyed. I cannot wait to make magic happen with you all at this retreat!

Hi, I’m Sierra! Resident overthinker and professional yapper about books that have emotionally ruined me.

I found my way back to reading during a season where everything felt a little isolating… newly postpartum, new city, no friends… just me trying to feel like me again. I picked up ACOTAR on a whim, and that was it for me—utterly obsessed from page one, and fully spiraling when I realized all the stories were CONNECTED (hence the SJM investigation wall). 

I created my bookish account hoping to find just ONE person to talk to about these books. Somehow, that turned into over 100k people across platforms, and now I get to scream about books (and share slightly unhinged thoughts) with an incredible community every day. This retreat is a reflection of that feeling—a space to be yourself, dive into your favorite worlds, and connect with people who just get it. I’m excited to meet you!!

  • Not at all. In fact, many people attend events like this solo because they’re hoping to meet fellow readers and make new connections. The whole goal of my events is to bring readers together through thoughtfully curated experiences that make it easy to connect.

    Remember, we’ve all been the new person before—and that’s often where the best conversations start.

  • This is a retreat for those 21+. Most attendees of Book&Gather are between 21-45 years old.

  • This retreat is designed for women and women-identifying individuals of the @unhingedbooktalk community. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out at bookandgatherco@gmail.com.

  • Your reservation is final and non-refundable. However, reservations may be transferred to another guest if you are no longer able to attend.

    If your plans change, I’m happy to work with you to help fill your spot, especially if there is a waitlist.

  • Yes, there will be an option to pay in installments!

  • I recommend booking at the same time as your friend or reserving your spots under the same reservation.

  • I’m glad you asked! You will be asked to provide your dietary preferences and restrictions when you reserve your spot. This will help inform the private chef of their menu, and will help us order the appropriate groceries. I will reach out to you individually for some assistance if needed to make sure you get the food you would need!

  • The most accessible airport to Destin is Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport. Plan for transportation to and from the house. It’s about a half hour drive, and I anticipate many will want to carpool!

    There will be a group chat created closer to event date, so that attendees can coordinate shared rides and arrival times, as desired.

    Transportation during the weekend to and from locations offsite is included in programming.

    The beach is a block away, and there are bikes available at the house.

  • Yes! Upon booking, all guests are required to complete a survey within 48 hours. Each guest - including those booked under a shared reservation - must individually acknowledge the guest policy before their reservation is confirmed. The policy includes:

    • Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

    • Code of Conduct Agreement

    Failure to adhere to the guest policy may result in removal from the retreat without a refund. If you have any questions prior to booking, please reach out at bookandgatherco@gmail.com.

  • Yes, alcohol on site is permitted. While alcohol is permitted, illegal substances are strictly prohibited on the premises at all times.

    Please Note: alcohol is not included in the price. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages; however, all guests are expected to consume alcohol responsibly and in accordance with our guest policy.
